How is your skincare routine?

So I was wondering… Since I’ve never had an actual skin care routine myself for many many years I didn’t really know how to use skincare products the right way. And when I became so interested in natural, cruelty free cosmetics I just had to find out, off course.

So a really big shout out and thank you to Avril for giving me the perfect products. Because of them I have a flawless skin care routine every day (and night)! And their prices are so low for such a good quality, you should definitely check them out if you’re into vegan and cruelty free cosmetics!

So I guess you’re all wondering now what a perfect skin care routine is. Let me explain that to you right now!

First of all, make sure to cleanse your skin. There are many different ways to do that. You can use a cleansing milk, cleansing micellar lotion, cleansing oil and so on… Here is a link to all the make-up removers from Avril.

Step two is to exfoliate or scrub your face, or put on a facemask. You can also do both but I prefer to switch from day to day because I have a sensitive skin.

Always make sure that after step 1 or 2 you use a tonic. Cleansers and facemasks change the acidity of the skin. A good pH value makes sure that active substances from your serum or cream can do their job better and the natural skin barrier remains intact. Tonic will also remove the very last leftovers from your make-up, dirt or cleanser.

Now it is time for your serum or face oil. You can also put a few drops from the oil in your serum for an ultimate effect.

Alright guys, we are halfway now! Let’s take care of our eyes now. Because the skin around your eyes is much more sensitive than the rest of your face I strongly recommend to use an eyegel or eyecream. By taking good care of the skin around your eyes you will get wrinkles less quickly!

Last but not least, it’s finally time for your daycream! Most daycreams will keep your face also protected from the sun. Aaaand the more sun on your face, the more wrinkles you’ll have. So let’s keep that in mind.

After daycream you can choose to put on some make-up or not. Avril has great and very affordable make-up too!

If you’re going to sleep you can basically follow all the steps again but instead of daycream you can use a nightcream. If you don’t want to put so much effort in this again make sure to cleanse your skin and you’re ready to count sheep!
